McMillans: A
Perfect Match
by
Carolyn Davis Beal
Noel McMillan and Deborah Brown met in algebra class at Lincoln.
He was a senior and she a junior. They dated for four years………before saying those two little words, “I do”.
Deborah says, "During our days at Lincoln, Noel was a thorn in my side.
In the beginning of his pursuing me, I was not interested in him at all."
Deborah continues,
"But after interacting with him and becoming more mature, I got to know him better and discovered that he was a very
genuine person."

Proud Moment at Dillard University |
On June 12 the McMillans will celebrate 31 years of marriage.
“What a testimony!” Their love produced a
son, Chadwick (Chad)
Noel who is now 25 . Holding a Bachelor's degree from Dillard University and an MBA
from the University of Phoenix, Chad currently teaches business education at Samuel High School. Ironically, he replaced Rita Bacon
Hughes following her passing. Chad is not married yet. Deborah and Noel, therefore, have no grandchildren. But they are very much looking
forward to becoming grandparents.
For 38 years the
McMillans have been members of the Griggs Chapel Baptist Church in South Dallas.
Noel teaches biology at South Oak Cliff High School. Deborah works as an administrative assistant at Thompson & Knight Law Firm.
Noel and Deborah offer the
